It's An Earthquake

I was watching a movie last night, 10.5 Apocalypse, and it got me thinking. What causes an earthquake? It is the moving of the earth's plates, or plate tectonics. What does that mean? Well, the detailed definition can be found here Plate Tectonics but simply, it is plates that have two parts, the continental and the oceanic. Well guess what folks? They move. Like two dinner plates in your cabinet. You go to move one and the one underneath of it slides a little. That's what it is, two plates moving.

Anyway, when these plates move, they create an earth quake. All this moving and shifting cause all types of chaos. Things are never the same after one of those earthquakes. Now what does all of this have to do with advertising. You are going to love this.


While an earthquake does screw things up, leaving people a little dazed and confused, the shifting of the plates is what shapes and molds the shape of the earth. It is what makes islands, and the face of the planet.


I want you to be one of those plates. Say no to the status quo, it is a shift, a change, a new formation. Be the Earthquake! It may create havoc in the business world, disrupting business as usual thinking, but in the end it will create and redefine your business.
