Why are you marketing online? Be honest with yourself with this. Are you doing it because you want easy work with lots of money? Hate to tell you this, but you are in the wrong field. There is no easy button!

Lots of time, energy, and effort has to be used. You have to promote yourself, your name, your image! Click, advertise, talk, chat, tweet, online communities, blog, emails, on and on the list goes.

Before you dream of the big house and fancy car, you must dedicate yourself! If this is your career, then make it your full time job! If you work 9-5 M-F, work online 6-2 M-Sunday. You can sleep later in life. You will only get out of your online business what you put in it. That is all up to you.

Getting more focused

Yesterday we talked about who are you marketing to. Now it is time to get a little more focused. If you have your daily routine down, and who you are marketing to, now how do you plan to send out your new splash pages?

When I am deciding where to post my splash page, I think about who uses the site I am advertising on. I would not use my splash page, to promote my paid to click site, on a children's cartoon page. Nor would I post my blog onto a site that is about music.

You need to figure out the audience that uses the site that you want to advertise on, then gear your ad toward that audience.

Then, once you figure out the audience, and the ad you wish to place, then you need to figure out how big of an advertising campaign you need to see if that site will yield you any results.

There is no magic number, you need to figure this out on your own. Each person, or product is different, so you need to see what works for you.

Go out there, get your ads up! Stay focused.

Who Are You Marketing To?

Do you ever sit and think of who you are marketing to? Do you think of the person sitting on the other end of the internet? Of whom you are making your ad to view? Or are you just hoping that someone may like what you are advertising?

Before you make your banner ad, your splash page, your blog, your ad, think for just a moment. Is the person, who is surfing, a guy? a girl? and older person? a parent? Who is looking to sign up for your program?

You may need to make more than one splash page, or banner, or what ever ad you are using. You need to focus your ad to yield the best results.

Focus your ad! Focus yourself! Stay on point and get your just rewards!

More on splash pages

Yesterday I talked about splash pages. I'm sure you've looked around, googled splash pages, and felt overwhelmed. Here are my two favorite places: Adkreator and TeToolbox.

Use these splash pages to not only promote your program, but to also promote yourself.

Why promote yourself? I'll tell you why. Let people get to know you. Your face, your name. Once people get to recognize you, when they see your face promoting something, they will take a second look.

Go on, make your splash! Put your picture and name on it! Start promoting.

Moving into Digital Marketing

What does it mean, new attitude? Really, what does it mean? No, it does not mean we are reinventing the wheel, it means we are making the spokes stronger in the wheel so it will last longer, and be able to travel an even farther distance.

Once it was just good to have an ad in the yellow pages, and maybe some fliers on people's car window shields. Now, in today's society, you need so much more in the way of advertising.

Years ago when websites were first being developed and the thought of having a digital representation of your business was new to most if not all business owners, print materials were the king of all marketing efforts.  You had a yellow page ad, a brochure, and a few marketing slicks as leave behinds and that’s what marketing was.  As the digital age continued to grow and gain momentum, business owners began transitioning their marketing efforts from 100% print based into things like websites, Google Ads, and any number of other marketing pieces we all see on a daily basis all over the web.

A group of business owners and customers alike began feeling like there was nothing “personal” left when it came to client vendor interaction.  Customer service began dropping off as efforts and resources were reallocated to adding design departments and desk after desk filled with marketing professionals.  The marketing techniques that were previously being implemented were being left by the wayside and business owners were adding high priced professionals to the payroll to develop complex and expensive marketing plans.

One of the first things I learned to do was to create a splash page. It is just a little blurb about the site I want someone to join. Add my picture to it, my name, so they know that I, Jennifer, will be their upline. Not some mysterious person that they don't know. They may not know me, but if I use the same picture in chat, and in my blog, and all my info, they will know that my picture and name is who I am.

So the first step on going into the digital marketing, is to go from Plain Jane, to Jane of the Jungle. We are going to claim our own corner of the internet marketing.

Remember, I am just giving guide lines. You need to make it your own.

My Daily Routine

With so much to do to get your site seen, how does one get it all done?

I, myself, need a daily schedule . I am going to post what works for me. You may need to make one up, that works for you. Use this as a guide.

5:30-6:00    Read emails, reply to those that need it
6:00-7:00    Do my paid to read sites
8:00-8:30    Work on my blog
8:30-10:00  Do Nerd surfing
11:00-1:00  Do Commando Surfing
1:00-2:00    Read email lists, click, write and send email
2:00-2:30    Take break, eat
2:30-4:30    Surf the sites in the day's folder (I made a monday, tues, wed, etc folder so I use all traffic exchanges each week)
4:30-6:00   Make dinner, clean up, do any household stuff I need
6:00-8:00   Surf my folder named surf every day
8:00-9:00   Do more nerd surfing

That's what I do, to get site seen. Maybe it will work for you, maybe not. But routine works for me. You need to find what works for you.

Hope this helps. If you need a list of traffic exchanges, feel free to email me @ itsourdream@hotmail.com

If you want your banner added to the bottom of my blog, please email me.

The Secret to Internet Marketing

Do you want the secret to internet marketing?

Are you ready?

Can you handle what I am about to tell you?

This is how I took a paid to click site with only 2 members, to one with over 1,100 members in a matter of a few months.

Hard work!

Ten to twelve hours a day surfing traffic exchanges, posting on twitter and facebook, submitting my site to forums, email lists, chatting, typing, clicking, seven days a week.

Did not expect that did you?

Fact is, there are no shortcuts in life. No easy answer. To achieve and succeed you have to apply yourself, commit yourself, and work hard.

If you want to know what sites I use please feel free to email me, and I will send you what I use. itsourdream@hotmail.com
